Cape Epic, a day in the life of Team American Classic – KMC – Look… stage two

146km, that was the program of today’s stage at Cape Epic. It took us 6h39mn and everything went pretty well. Actually, I still wasn’t of much help for Jeff all day, except in the last hour… which means I finished pretty well today and it’s quite what I expected. I think it’s going as I had hoped, I can probably get better day after day… I wouldn’t put the little money I have on it but I prefer to think that way than start and think it can be worse than it was monday, ahah.

Since we had little time to recover and I needed to use that time fully to get better for the rest of the week, no big article today. All you need to know is that today went smooth, I was a bit slow and Jeff was a bit bored😉 , but no puncture, no crash, nothing wrong. So we and the bikes will be ready for the 94km of tomorrow. Oh by the way, we finished 42nd of that stage and it seems to be our lucky number for today as we also climbed up to 42nd in the overall classification.

Below is what the recovery looked like. We are lucky to have two Veinoplus Sport available to help with recovery during the race. Have a look at their website ! This is a great product very complementary with compression recovery socks.

Tomorrow, shorter stage means longer and hopefully more interesting article, you can trust me on that one.
